Second Saturday Neighborhood Clean Up

Second Saturday Neighborhood Clean-Up

April, 2024

Making Amapas Shine, One Bag at a Time

Every second Saturday of the month, the Amapas Neighborhood Association (ANA) hosts a community clean-up day. It is a simple way to give back, connect with neighbors, and help keep our streets and green spaces looking their best.  This monthly event brings together residents, visitors, and volunteers who care about keeping Amapas clean, safe, and beautiful.

How It Works

We meet at a designated location, where supplies are ready for you. ANA provides gloves, trash bags, and even refreshments to keep everyone fueled and hydrated. Whether you stay for 30 minutes or the full two hours, every bit of effort counts. You just need to bring your energy and a willingness to pitch in.

More Than Just Picking Up Trash

The clean-up is about more than just tidying up. It is also a chance to meet neighbors, share stories, and build a stronger, more connected community. People of all ages and backgrounds are welcome. Whether you have lived here for years or are new to the area, this is a great way to get involved and feel part of something positive.

Why It Matters

When we work together, small actions create big results. Clean streets, clear sidewalks, and well-kept green spaces make Amapas more enjoyable for everyone. Plus, regular clean-ups help protect our environment and reduce the impact of waste on local wildlife. Most of all, these events remind us that community pride is something we can build together.

Get Involved

Mark your calendar for the next Second Saturday Clean-Up. Come with a friend, bring your family, or just show up and make a new connection. Every helping hand makes a difference.

You can also support the effort with donations to cover costs of supplies, water for volunteer, and equipment rental for larger cleaning projects.

Together, we are keeping Amapas beautiful… one Saturday at a time.
