Amapas Turns 25!
2025 is a special year for the Amapas Neighborhood Association: we’re celebrating 25 years of community spirit and neighborhood pride. Since 2000, we’ve worked to make Amapas a safer, more beautiful, and more welcoming place for residents and visitors alike. Over the past quarter‑century, we’ve helped improve streets, stairs, and safety, and built a strong sense of belonging in our neighborhood.

How We’ve Made a Difference
For 25 years, ANA has been the main link between Amapas residents and local government offices. We represent hundreds of members, many of whom are not Mexican citizens, and make sure our concerns stay on official agendas. Together with the City of Puerto Vallarta, we’ve completed projects like road improvements on Calle Hortensias and the Amapas Stairs renovation.
We’ve also painted crosswalks and sidewalks along Highway 200, and launched the “Neighborhood Watch” WhatsApp group to help keep our area safe. Our current Road to Safety initiative focuses on Highway 200 safety, support after the Calle Santa Barbara collapse, and emergency plans for northern beach areas.
