Amapas Gets Safer and Cleaner Thanks to ANA

Looking Out for Our Streets
A few years ago, the Amapas Neighborhood Association (ANA) noticed something important: many of our streets weren’t as safe as they could be. To help fix that, ANA stepped in with a simple but smart solution: curved traffic mirrors. These mirrors were installed at tricky intersections and sharp corners to help drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians see what’s coming. With a wider view of the road, everyone could move more safely. This one improvement has helped cut down on near-misses and accidents in our neighborhood.
Tackling Trash, One Bin at a Time
Safety wasn’t the only thing on ANA’s mind. We also wanted to make Amapas cleaner. So, we installed four large trash bins in some of the busiest areas. The goal was simple, give people an easy way to throw out garbage properly. By placing the bins in high-traffic spots, ANA hoped to encourage everyone to take part in keeping the area clean. And it worked. Neighbors and businesses stepped up, and the streets started looking a lot better.
Community Effort, Lasting Change
Thanks to these efforts, Amapas feels like a safer, more welcoming place. Visitors notice the difference. Locals feel the change. And it all started with small, thoughtful steps taken by people who care about the community.
As ANA continues its work, this is just one chapter in a growing story of neighborhood pride and progress.
