Annual Meeting Recap: Record Turnout and Plans for 2026

Annual Meeting Recap: Record Turnout and Plans for 2026

The Amapas Neighborhood Association held its Annual General Meeting on March 3, 2026. The meeting was kindly hosted by The Palm Cabaret and Bar. We are happy to share that we had a record turnout this year, with more than 40 percent of our building, individual, and business members taking part.

Meeting Highlights
The meeting covered key topics that support our goal of being open and growing together as a community.

  • Financial and Activity Updates: A detailed review of our 2025 finances and a look back at the year’s main achievements.

  • Looking Ahead: A presentation of our goals for 2026, the introduction of new officers, and approval of our yearly budget.

  • Community News: Updates from the City Manager, plans for Amapas improvements, our new technology projects, and ways volunteers help strengthen our neighborhood.

  • Fundraising: A report on our “Rock the River” event, which showed how much we can accomplish when members take part.

During the question and answer session, members shared concerns about noise from nearby resorts and safety on the highway. We understand these concerns and remain very aware of their impact. The ANA has met with venue managers in the past and will continue to do so. Still, our influence is limited by local laws. Even so, we will keep working to represent our members and seek positive change.
